OSV is delighted by the appointment of Father David J. Bonnar as bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio. Bishop-elect Bonnar has been editor of The Priest magazine since 2016.

During his time with OSV, Father Bonnar has been a tremendous asset to the OSV family. He has a heart alive with the love of Christ and the priesthood, and he has a passion for supporting priests in their spiritual, human, intellectual and pastoral formation.

As Bishop-elect Bonnar assumes his role as a successor to the apostles, we pray that he may lovingly shepherd the People of God in Youngstown, serving as a sign of Christ to all. May God grant him many more happy years in service to the Church.
